Abstract
A gap wiping knife system for controlling coating thickness in hot dip galvanizing has been newly developed, which can remotely adjust the l ip gap profiles during operation. The adjustment of the lip gap profil es is carried out by actuators which are arranged with proper separati ons along the knife. Zinc coating thickness distribution can be unifor m, and the zinc consumption can be reduced.
