Abstract
A theory of turbulent temperature fluctuations in the framework of Ext ended Irreversible Thermodynamics is presented. In particular, we deri ve an expression for the probability density function of temperature d ifferences between two times. This expression modifies the result of C hing (Phys, Rev. Lett, 70 (1993) 283) for very short time separations. This modification can be, in principle, tested experimentally. (C) 19 98 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
