Abstract
The pi(+) emission from the weak decay of He-4(Lambda) has been a puzz le for more than 30 years. We discuss the significance of two contribu tions to the decay rate that are due to pion charge exchange and due t o a virtual Sigma(+) admixture of the initial Lambda-hypernuclear stat e.
