The Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) rule predicts that a ratio between the cr
oss sections or annihilation frequencies of phi and omega meson produc
tion should be on the level of 4.10(-3).. It is known that the predict
ions of the OZI rule are fulfilled in the hadronic interactions at a l
evel of about 10%. Recently large OZI rule violation has been found in
some (p) over bar p annihilation channels in the experiments with sto
pped antiprotons at LEAR(CERN).
