M. Magny, CORRELATION OF LAKE-LEVEL FLUCTUATIONS WITH ATMOSPHERIC C-14 VARIATIONS - A CLIMATE-SUN RELATION, Comptes rendus de l'Academie des sciences. Serie 2, Mecanique, physique, chimie, sciences de l'univers, sciences de la terre, 317(10), 1993, pp. 1349-1356
New proxy data from the lakes of Clairvaux and Chalain (Jura, France)
for the time span from 3800 to 2600 BC have led to detailed testing of
the climate-sun relation already suggested by previous investigations
. The parallelism observed between lake-level fluctuations and variati
ons in the atmospheric C-14 supports the hypothesis that varying solar
activity is a significant factor forcing the Holocene climate at diff
erent time-scales.
