In the last years, the Leipzig LIDAR system has been completed into an
automatic measuring device with good reliability and accuracy. In the
summer 1997, the system was mainly used for the determination of heig
ht distributions of the ozone concentration; an extended data base was
collected. It includes periodical measurements during several months,
long time measurements over several days and some simultaneous measur
ements of two pollutants. The purpose of this summery of the results i
s to inform interested users of the availability of these data and in
this way to initiate cooperation.
