Abstract
:A variety of 4-substituted 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-1-ones 6 can be prepared by a two step radical sequence: intermolecular xanthate t ransfer addition to an N-allylbenzamide followed by cyclisation onto t he aromatic ring. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
