Abstract
Data are presented on the number of publications per year for the last 25 year, dealing with activation analysis. From these data it can be concluded, that the role of activation analysis is declining bath in a bsolute terms and relative to the total of activities in analytical ch emistry. A policy is described aimed at stopping this decline.
