Abstract
The Object-Relational Interface (OR Interface) system is a prototype f or bridging the relational database management system (RDBMS) and obje ct database management system (ODBMS) such that users of one DBMS are allowed access to data stored in either format. In this paper, we desc ribe how we extend the OR Interface to support an extensible view syst em, the Zeus View System (ZVS), for multidatabase integration and inte roperation in a distributed computing environment. Our methodology and experience with the extension are presented.
