Abstract
Electron-gamma directional correlation measurements have been done in Ba-134 for the first time using an apparatus including cooled Si surfa ce barrier detector for the electrons and HPGe for the gamma's. Experi mental particle parameters for pure intense E2 transitions have been c alculated from gamma gamma and electron-gamma results, giving b(2)(605 K) = 1.31(28) and b(2)(795K)= 1.20(23). Some mixed transitions were al so analyzed. The 326K electron conversion ratio alpha(326K) = 14(6)X 1 0(-2) was measured. An upper bound for the E0/E2 mixing ratio was esti mated to the 2(+') --> 2(+)(563 keV) transition by the ey interference E0/E2 method, giving q(K)(2)(E0/E2) less than or equal to 0.06.
