K. Wagner et al., SOLUBILITIES OF SODIUM-CHLORIDE IN ORGANIC AND AQUEOUS-ORGANIC SOLVENT MIXTURES, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 43(5), 1998, pp. 871-875
The solubility of sodium chloride in the binary organic or aqueous-org
anic solvent mixtures methanol + cyclohexane, water + cyclohexanol, an
d water + benzyl alcohol as well as in the ternary mixtures water + (e
thanol or benzyl alcohol) + cyclohexanol at 298.15 K and ambient press
ure has been determined using a gravimetric method. The reliability of
the measuring principle has been tested by comparing the solubilities
of sodium chloride in methanol, ethanol, and (methanol + cyclohexane)
to literature values. The data for the system methanol + cyclohexane
+ sodium chloride, which were measured over the whole concentration ra
nge of the solvent mixture, have been fit to a concentration-dependent
expression.
