The partial molar volume is a very important thermodynamic property fo
r describing the temperature and pressure effects in the supercritical
fluids. We have utilized the dynamic tracer response technique to mea
sure the infinite dilution partial molar volumes of butanal (n-butyral
dehyde) and 2-methylpropanal (isobutyraldehyde) in supercritical carbo
n dioxide at 318 K and 360 K and in the pressure range of 90.6-207.8 b
