Abstract
Enteritis and pseudoappendicitis are typical manifestations of Yersini a infections in children. This is a report on a child with localised t umourous mesenteric lymphadenitis due to Yersinia enterocolitica persi stent for a long time. We found specific antibodies against Yersinia o uter membrane proteins repeatedly in the patients' serum. Only after a ciprofloxacin therapy for 16 weeks we observed a recovery of our pati ent. Discussion: Yersinia enterocolitica can be the cause of mesenteri c lymphadenitis.
