Vp. Kaasila et A. Mammela, BIT-ERROR PROBABILITY FOR AN ADAPTIVE DIVERSITY RECEIVER IN A RAYLEIGH-FADING CHANNEL, IEEE transactions on communications, 46(9), 1998, pp. 1106-1108
The bit-error probability is determined for a binary antipodal diversi
ty system with an adaptive receiver using decision-directed channel es
timation. The diversity channels are assumed to be nonselective Raylei
gh-fading channels with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). The anal
ysis is valid for all linear estimators which use a finite-impulse-res
ponse (FIR)-type estimation fitter, Numerical results are presented fo
r a minimum mean-square error (MMSE) filter and a moving average (MA)
filter.
