Structural peculiarities of vegetative cover in the forest tundra comm
unities are considered by the example of thin forests and frays of the
Ary-Mas large forest in Taimyr Peninsula. In addition to thinness of
the wood floor, high structural heterogeneity is the specific feature
of these vegetative communities. Their mosaic and complex pattern is d
ue, on the one hand, to changes in the environmuntal factors (microcli
matic and microedaphic distinctions from the neighboring regions of ve
getative communities), and on the other, to weak interfloor relations
and relative independence of the vegetative floors. This leads to inte
rpenetration of the forest and tundra structural elements within the f
orest tundra vegetative communities, which rearranges their internal r
elationships and leads to appearance of novel structures.
