Et. Denisov, BIMOLECULAR REACTIONS OF RADICAL GENERATION IN CHAIN PROCESSES OF HYDROCARBON HALOGENATION, Chemical physics reports, 17(4), 1998, pp. 705-711
The subject matter of this publication is radical generation by reacti
ons RK+X-2-->R-.+HX+X-. and RH+XY-->R-.+HX+Y-. during chain halogenati
on of hydrocarbons. Activation energies and preexponential factors for
reactions RH+Cl-2, RH+CINO, RH+ClNO2, RH+ClBr, RH+F-2, RH+FCl, and RH
+FBr, where RH denotes aliphatic, alicyclic, unsaturated, and alkyl-ar
omatic hydrocarbons (a total of 15 compounds), are evaluated using the
parabolic model for reactions of radical abstraction. Competition of
radical generation by reaction X-2+RH with X-2 dissociation to atoms i
s analyzed. It is shown that the gas-phase bimolecular reactions progr
ess faster at temperatures below 1000 K.
