Abstract
Ignition of stoichiometric carborane-4-oxygen-argon mixtures is studie d experimentally in the presence of promoting additions of isopropyl n itrate at 600-1300 K and (0.1+/-0.02) MPa. The kinetic mechanism of pr omoted ignition is proposed, which adequately accounts for the experim ental results.
