Vv. Zhukov et al., PECULIARITIES OF NEAR-IR EMISSION OF HYDROGEN-AIR MIXTURES EXPLODING IN A CLOSED VESSEL, Chemical physics reports, 17(4), 1998, pp. 747-756
Intensities of emission of hydrogen-air mixtures exploding in a closed
vessel were measured with the aid of photodetectors equipped with int
erference filters at 1.184 and 1.394 mu m. The scattered radiation (ba
ckground) from hot layers situated beyond the photodetector field of v
ision is shown to significantly contribute to the total emission of th
e combustion products. A non-selective nature of the scattered-light s
pectrum distinct from the direct emission of a flame portion finding i
tself in the photodetector field of vision is established.
