Abstract
C-2-symmetric bis(eta(5)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-indenyl)-zirconium dichl oride (EBTHI)ZrCl2 (rac-1) reacts with the lithium amides of 2,6-dimet hylaniline, aniline and 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluoroaniline to yield the corr esponding bis(eta(5)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-indenyl)-zirconium bis(monoa rylamido) complexes (EBTHI)Zr(NHR)(2) (rac-3a-c). These new bisamides represent potential chiral versions of the known Cp2Zr(NHR)(2) derivat ives which are active hydroamination catalysts. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scie nce S.A. All rights reserved.
