Abstract
A series of patients having a mastectomy (n = 26) or a wide local exci sion (n = 8) and axillary dissection to level II were treated without axillary drainage. The skin flaps were sutured to the chest wall to re duce the dead space. This preliminary report assesses the outcome in t hese patients.
