Y. Moroi et T. Morisue, SIMPLE APPARATUS FOR SOLUBILIZATION OF VOLATILE SUBSTANCES INTO SURFACTANT SOLUTION, Journal of physical chemistry, 97(49), 1993, pp. 12668-12669
A very simple glass vessel was devised as an apparatus to determine th
e solubilization of volatile or gaseous substances. The apparatus work
ed well for production of constant chemical potential of the solubiliz
ate. With use of the apparatus, the first stepwise association constan
t of benzene and micelle of n-dodecylammonium perfluoroacetate was fou
nd to remain constant irrespective of the amount of benzene. This resu
lt indicates constancy of monomeric solubilizate concentration in aque
ous surfactant solutions of various concentrations.
