Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the operation of an OA SLM with amorphous hy drogenated silicon, utilised as a photo-semiconductor, and with a dist orted-helix ferroelectric liquid crystal. The device operation is stud ied using a holographic technique in two modes: with pulsed and contin uous recording. The dependence of the diffraction efficiency on the wr ite-light intensity, spatial frequency, and on repetition rate of the write-light pulses is measured.
