The time evolutions for the magnetic energy U-m, the magnetic helicity
K, and the total helicity K-total with high pinch factor operation of
reversed field pinch experiments on SWIP-RFP device are quantitativel
y calculated. It is shown that U-m and K increase with increasing plas
ma current but K-total decreases. The results are analyzed and valuabl
e information for the operation is obtained.
