Abstract
Phenomenological models of anodic metal dissolution are proposed. By m eans of numerical experiment, it is shown that the rate of anodic diss olution depends on crystallographic parameters, such as the closeness of the surface packing of atoms and the surface energy, and that the e xistence of limiting current segments on the polarization curves is pr edetermined by the discrete structure of the metal surface.
