A seven-month-old, male domestic shorthair was presented for respirato
ry distress. Cor triatriatum sinister was diagnosed based on echocardi
ography. Surgical dilatation and fearing of the anomalous membrane div
iding the left atrium resulted in resolution of clinical signs. Intrao
perative echocardiography was used to evaluate the adequacy of the rep
air.
