Abstract
The title complex {where 5-NO2-salimH-2 = 4-[2-(5-NO2-salicylideneimin e)ethyl]imidazole} has been structurally characterized and is the firs t mu-phenolato, mu-carboxylato-O, mu-carboxylato-O,O' type model for t he 'carboxylate shift' in polymanganese and polyiron enzymes.
