Abstract
In this paper, an algorithm for efficient implementation of the fronta l method for unsymmetric matrix equations is presented. The pivot choi ce is made from a buffer of variables eligible to be eliminated. A min imum buffer size is maintained until the assembly of the last element. A PC-based computer program in QBASIC is included. The program can be run on a PC with DOS 5.0 or later versions. The program is integrated into a finite element solution of fluid flow using triangular element s. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Limited.
