Abstract
Using vector meson dominance we calculate the gamma gamma total cross section from data on pp; p (p) over bar and gamma p total cross sectio ns. Our result agrees with recent high energy measurements performed b y the L3 experiment at the CERN LEP collider, not with the conflicting preliminary data obtained by OPAL. [S0556-2821(98)03813-2].
