The alloys CeAg0.75Ga3.25, CePd0.3Ga3.7, and CeAg0.6Al3.4 reported to
crystallize in the BaAl4-type tetragonal structure, are investigated b
y magnetization M, electrical resistivity, and magnetoresistance measu
rements. All of these alloys appear to order ferromagnetically below a
bout T(c) =4 K. M tends to saturate at low fields (< 10 kOe). The para
magnetic Curie temperature theta(p) is positive and the magnitude is c
omparable to T(c). This observation indicates a negligible influence o
f the Kondo effect in these alloys.
