Abstract
Some questions of principle concerning the general methodology of inve stigations of the molecular world are discussed on the basis of the pr inciples of conformity and complementarity. The utilization of models, the role of inverse problems, subjectivity and deviation from the pri nciple of scientific solvability, directions of the development of the theory of molecular structures and activities, limitation of fundamen tal ideas and other concepts are considered.
