Magnetoresistance (DELTArho/rho) measurements for Au87Fe13 are reporte
d in the temperature range 4.2-200 K and for magnetic fields (H) up to
45 kOe. The remarkable feature of the experimental observations is th
e rapid decrease of \DELTArho/rho\ below 15 K at low fields. This beha
viour is associated with the breaking up of large clusters into smalle
r ones as a result of the dominating RKKY interaction in the system at
low temperatures. The observed behaviour corroborates the neutron dep
olarization studies carried out earlier.
