Abstract
Bromination reactions of nickel(II) or copper(II) complexes of 5,10,15 ,20-tetraisopropylporphyrin afford the unusual porphodimethenes 2-5; c rystallographic data for some of these compounds are presented and pos sible mechanisms for their formation are discussed.
