Abstract
Oxidative dimerization of some aromatic hydrocarbons, diphenylacetylen e and diphenyl amine, selective oxidation of thiols to disulfides, and transformation of 1,5-cyclooctadiene to the corresponding bicyclo[3.3 .0]octane derivatives through trans-annular reactions have been achiev ed using iron (III) perchlorate(ITP).
