Abstract
Isolation of a new naphthoquinone 3-O-3'-bidroserone, along with napht hoquinone derivatives 2,3-epoxyplumbagin and plumbagic acid is reporte d from the roots of Plumbago indica. The structures have been elucidat ed on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence. The configuration o f plumbagic acid has been assigned.
