The elastic differential cross-section in positron-hydrogen collisions
is computed in the energy range 0.136-30.6 eV utilising accurate phas
eshifts and partial-wa iie amplitudes given by the Kohn-Hulthen and Sc
hwinger variational methods. Surface plots of the differential cross-s
ection thus obtained indicate rich structure. Critical angles appear d
ue to the destructive interference of the partial-wave contributions t
o the scattering amplitude for positron momenta just beyond 0.31 (a.u.
