Abstract
A new adiabatic method of calculation of QED corrections to the energy of bound states is applied to the derivation of the working formulae for the reducible (reference-state correction) two-photon exchange dia grams. States of two-electron multicharged ions with unequal one-elect ron energies are considered. The final Feynman gauge expressions are w ritten in a new simple form, convenient for numerical applications. (C ) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
