CRYPTOCOCCAL MYOSITIS - A CASE-REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Only rare cases of cryptococcal myositis have been previously reported in the literature. All of these cases have occurred in the setting of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. We report a case of cry ptococcal myositis diagnosed premortem on a needle biopsy in a heart t ransplant patient undergoing immunosuppressive therapy.
