Two types of immobilized catalysts active in ethylene polymerization w
ere prepared on the basis of natural zeolite-containing minerals. The
catalysts were composed of anchored alkylaluminoxanes and vanadium oxy
trichloride and the anchored compounds of vanadium and Al(i-Bu-3) or A
lEt2Cl. The kinetics of ethylene polymerization in the presence of zeo
lites was studied, and the mechanical and tribological properties of t
he resulting PE composites were investigated. The polymerization-fille
d composite material based on UHMPE and natural zeolites that combine
enhanced wear-resistant properties with low friction coefficient and h
igh impact strength were developed.
