DISCRETE DECOMPOSABILITY OF THE RESTRICTION OF A(Q)(LAMBDA) WITH RESPECT TO REDUCTIVE SUBGROUPS II - MICRO-LOCAL ANALYSIS AND ASYMPTOTIC K-SUPPORT

Let G' subset of G be real reductive Lie groups. This paper offers a c riterion on the triplet (G, G', pi) that the irreducible unitary repre sentation pi of G splits into a discrete sum of irreducible unitary re presentations of a subgroup G' when restricted to G', each of finite m ultiplicity. Furthermore, we shall give an upper estimate of the multi plicity of an irreducible unitary representation of G' occurring in pi \(G').
