A. Santoro et al., TOTAL REMOVAL OF AN INTRAMEDULLARY CAVERNOUS ANGIOMA BY TRANSTHORACICAPPROACH, Italian journal of neurological sciences, 19(3), 1998, pp. 176-179
Intramedullary cavernous angiomas are rare vascular malformations; all
published cases have been surgically approached posteriorly by standa
rd laminectomy. We describe the case of a 63-year-old man with an intr
amedullary cavernous angioma, anteriorly located in the thoracic spina
l cord. The angioma was operated on by transthoracic approach and tota
lly removed.
