Cellular mechanisms for the transport and localization of Wnt signalin
g components are important for the propagation, distribution, and pola
rization of Wnt signals in embryonic tissues. Wnt signals are distribu
ted through tissues by vesicular transport of Wnt proteins, localized
in embryos by directed transport of cytoplasmic Wnt-signaling componen
ts, and propagated asymmetrically during cell division.
