Abstract
The microwave attenuation, which is the key factor for realizing: very large bandwidths Ti:LiNbO3 optical modulators is fully studied and th e causes and reduction techniques are discussed in detail. Practical r ealization of wide-band optical modulators with low microwave attenuat ion and low driving voltage is also discussed.
