Abstract
Alpha,gamma-Disubstituted propynyl alcohols having a proton on 1-posit ion of alpha-substituent have been dehydrated using PdCl2(PPh3)2 and S nCl2 in 1,3-dimethylimidazolidin-2-one under neutral conditions to pro duce 1,4-disubstituted (Z)-but-3-en-1-ynes stereoselectively.
