The sorption of lead and cobalt ions on the surface of calcium-montmor
illonite was studied in the presence and absence of complex-forming ag
ent. The ion exchange processes are greatly influenced by the composit
ion of the solution (pH, complex-forming agent). However, when the sor
ption can take place in different ways these also affect the results.
