The trisulphido complex [PPh4][W(eta(5)-(C5Me5)(S)(3)], reacts with th
e phospha-alkyne (BuCP)-C-t and O-2 to afford the dimeric complex [W(e
ta(5)-(C5Me5)(S)((S2PCBu)-Bu-t)](2). Analogous reactions occur with th
e alkyne Ph2C2 to give [W(eta(5)-(C5Me5)(S)(S2C2Ph2)](2). The molecula
r structures of both complexes are presented and discussed. (C) 1998 E
