Abstract
We report the growth of Nd:YLiF4 layers using liquid phase epitaxy. Fl uorescence decays were measured at different temperatures, 1.05 mu m l aser performances have been investigated and photon avalanche up-conve rsion has been observed up to 60 K. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
