Abstract
In the course of the studies of magnetic susceptibility of iron-oxygen two-dimensional nanostructures formed on the surface of silica, speci al state of these groups was discovered at the certain degree of filli ng of the first oxide layer. It was found that surface ordering of a f erromagnetic type takes place in a half filled layer. Influence of cer ium and ytterbium atoms introduction on spin arrangement in deposited nanostructures was also discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
