Abstract
Hydrolysis of {Li[(BuC)-C-n(NBut)(2)]}(2), prepared from LiBun and (Bu NCNBut)-N-t in hexanes, produced the nineteen atom cluster {Li[(BuC)-C -n(NBut)(2)]}4 . Li2O; an X-ray structure determination revealed an Li 2O molecule encapsulated by two eight-membered Li2N4C2 rings.
