Abstract
Microstrip-line structures with arbitrary dimensions are simulated usi ng subsectional basis functions on nonuniform grids in a Galerkin appr oach. The system matrices are compressed with especially designed wave lets on these grids and solved by a fast iterative algorithm. To furth er enhance accuracy and convergence, the knot sequences are optimised. Several numerical examples are presented.
