This paper is the report of a meeting held in London under the auspice s of the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences ( CIOMS) on 17-18 April 1997. It contains definitions of terms used in r eporting adverse drug reactions of the system/organ class gastrointest inal system disorders and basic requirements for their use.
